All test machines are calibrated and traceable to NIST standards. QCML is an A2LA accredited laboratory.
 
The first step in assuring quality laboratory data is sample preparation. QCML has a complete machine shop that is dedicated to producing the highest quality test specimens. QCML tension test coupons are produced either in flat or round geometry. All test specimens are dimensionally verified by the machinist and technicians prior to analysis. An optical comparator is utilized in QCML quality assurance program to insure that all test coupons conform to the strict ASTM E8 and A370 dimensional requirements.
